Pet Boarding Services

At Palmetto Animal Hospital, our highly qualified kennel attendants take the time to feed, nurture, and lavish attention on your animal companions when you can’t be there. We provide fundamental care for your dog or cat, as well as personal services such as brushing and cuddling, for a healthy and happy boarding experience.

Our boarders receive 24-hour attention from on-site kennel technicians — even on the weekends! Your pet is never alone and enjoys complete comfort in our climate-controlled facility. With safety as our first concern, we offer a double-fenced, double-latched yard with kennel areas for the safest possible exercise and outdoor fun for dogs. If your dog is a climber, features include covered cages as well. Our cats lounge out of their cages for free time — pet families can even socialize together, if you choose. And all boarders may enjoy a relaxing bath before returning home.

Palmetto Animal Hospital’s boarding facility is often booked well in advance, so please call us early to schedule kennel space for your pet. For the health and safety of all boarders, up-to-date vaccinations and a recent fecal exam will be required prior to boarding. If you would like this service at the time of drop-off, let us know in advance and we will schedule this preventive care and veterinary exam.

Our boarding services include a Capstar to prevent fleas and a boarding examination by a veterinary technician as needed.

Pet Bathing Services

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath at Palmetto Animal Hospital for a pampering service that emphasizes healthy hygiene for skin and coat.

Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris, and that doggie pet odor — your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itch.

A pet that looks great, smells good, and feels terrific is a joy to be around — treat your animal companion to a basic bathing with us.

Why We Use Capstar

Protection from fleas is an important part of keeping your pet healthy and happy. The most common external parasite found on dogs and cats, fleas cause your pet to feel uncomfortable and carry other illnesses or tapeworms. If left untreated, a few fleas on your pet will quickly lead to a full-blown infestation in your home as well.

Eliminating fleas on your pet is easy with Capstar® (nitenpyram). It begins to work within 30 minutes to kill adult fleas. You will literally see fleas falling off your pet!
